At 19, Sam Altman dropped out of Stanford and raised $30M to launch his first startup, Loopt.

Here’s the original pitch that started it all 👇

Back in 2005, Loopt was ahead of its time, a location-based social networking app that let users share where they were, discover nearby spots, and connect with friends in real-time.

It gained traction early, but with Facebook entering the space, competition got fierce.

In 2012, Loopt was acquired for $43.4M.

That exit was just the beginning.

Sam turned that early win into an extraordinary path, from President of Y

Combinator to now CEO of OpenAI.

Not bad for someone rocking a double polo with both collars popped. 😎
