After returning to Bolt, I gave the team a 60-day window—no removals, no changes, a chance for everyone to show what they're made of. That period ended this week, and removals were made. Sharing the screenshot of what I shared with our team because of the underlying message:

A business is a business. It’s not a social circle, community center, or a charity. Execution comes first. Period. You earn the right to give feedback to leaders by being a top performer. If you're not, we will hear none of it until you've proven to the company why we should listen. Squeaky wheels get no grease. Keeping B players around while A players are executing destroys the morale of your A players.

We’ve turned a corner at the company this week. The nucleus is strong, focused, and energized. From here, it’s about building bold products, scaling fast, and winning. The fun and the perks come after we execute—not before. This isn’t the right environment for everyone, 99% of startups fail and 99% of people are not cutout to work at startups. But for those who know how to be all-in, Bolt is one of the most exciting places to be right now.
