➡ We welcomed 27 new billionaires compared to a mere 6 in the once-dominant Chinese capital…
➡ India grew much faster than China. With political and economic stability - we attracted a lot of the global capital which originally went there
➡ And, now India ranks 3rd globally with 271 billionaires.
But this isn't just about numbers, it’s an indication of our growth story. And, I’d like to believe it says something about Mumbai.
Growing up here, I've seen firsthand the relentless drive and hustle that defines this city. It's not just about the skylines; it's about what they represent – the countless innovators working day and night to build the next generation of game changing institutions.
I remember when Trisha and I were building our company. We’d leave the office late at night and there would still be traffic. Still people hustling and bustling - trying to make things happen.
That’s Bombay.
I’ve spent time in some of the world’s best cities but, there’s something about this place that drew me straight back.
Mumbai's spirit, its resilience, is truly infectious. It's a city that doesn't just embrace its challenges; it thrives on them.
We are not just the city of dreams, there’s execution too. We are a city of dreamers turning their visions into reality :)
Yes, we have our share of problems - the traffic, pollution and lack of space. But, in the debate for India’s best city - I’d say we’re winning…
