My finance controller resigned and the HR team said, they resigned because of me.
As per HR, the controller was not happy working with me. But the problem was, I was already on my notice period. So if the Finance Controller knew that I will be gone in another 30 days, why would they resign because of me? Sounds stupid, right?
The problem was not me. The problem was something else.
We ran the local operations here. But my boss in the HQ was in everything, every day. Not just with me. With the controller, the associate director, the manager, the accountant. He'd talk to everyone directly and call the shots himself. No had any autonomy. Thats a big enough reason for the good guys to leave.
But I guess, it's easier to blame the person who's already halfway out the door.
