If ethics deals with the choice that individual make in their personal and professional lives, then organisational ethics is the application of these morality related choice as influenced and guided by values, standards, rules, principles, and strategies associated with organisational activities and situations. Ethics has relevance because taking people into confidence by winning over their emotions would be good, if intent behind it is nobel.. however ethics looses it's relevance, if the people influence others by captivating their emotions for personal gains. Ethics is important in public administration and it's relevance increases in the policies can do greater good and lesser harm. Ethical codes are adopted by organisation to assist members understanding the difference between right and wrong and in applying that understanding to their decisions

 

Codes of ethics

 

A code of ethics will start by setting out the values that underpin the code and will describe a company's obligation to its stakeholders. The code is publicly available and addressed to anyone with an interest in the company's activities and the way it does business . It will include details of how the company plans to implement its values and vision, as well as guidance to staff on ethical standards and how to achieve them.
