What is the difference between blog and article?

Yes, there are differences between article and blog, that one should know about.

Sometimes blog and articles are confused with their similarity but in reality they are much different from each other.

Some of the basic difference include the way it is written, how both are designed to be written, what type of content they should have, the length of the content, and the style in which they are written etc.

1). If we look at the length of blog they are generally short around 500-1200 words and they are written in much casual way, which means the style it follows is quite informal, whereas in terms of articles they are generally lengthy and the word count can range form 3000-5000 words, and also the style of writing the article is more formal and in journalistic manner.

2). If we look at the editing part of both blog and article, it is seem that articles are edit more they generally pass through different cycles of editing so that there is not a single point of error in it. Whereas blog are generally self published and they are not edited much.

3).The most important point is the SEO features which is the way to reach to most of the audience, generally blogs are written around SEO and the creator tries to make their blogs available to the larger audience by using SEO ways, on the other hand in article it is not so important to include SEO keywords, that means not much emphasis is given on SEO keywords.

A blog can be written with a word count range of at least 300 up to 500. Blogs can be written with a casual and laid back feel as if your are talking to one person and having a conversation.

A blog can be written and updated as often as you need to and spelling and grammar aren't that important.

A blog also can have videos and info graphics that you can write your own content around.

Probably, A Blog is a Collection and Creation of Articles about Different Topics or may be similar Topics, but the content in every article vary as per it's constructiveness.

Articles on the other hand a different because they can be written with a higher word count range of 500 up to 2,500 words.

Articles require great spelling and grammar for your reader to understand.

Articles are more written with full description and detail that is more like talking to people and not conversational.

However, an Article is nothing but a brief description about whole and sole of a Topic and its history or about its operation or construction or development, whatever it may be.
