What is "PESTLE" analysis?

PESTLE  aalysis is actually a tool that is used to check all the external factors that can influence or have an affect in the organisation.

Just in the case of SWOT analysis where we have to analyse the strength, weakness, threat and opportunity, Pestle analysis result is used to analyse the threat and weakness.

This analysis is used to look at the micro-environmental condition which is mostly external conditions that can affect the working of the organisation.

PESTLE standa for:

P: Political

E: Economic

S: Social

T: Technological

E: Environmental 

L: Legal

Let us look at them one by one 

Political: in this it is analyse that how government intervenes or policies can affect the organisation working, this can include their policies, political stability, labour laws ,taxes etc.

Economic Factors: This have significant impact on how the organisation is doing business and how profitable they are.

Social Factors: In this an analysis is to be made about the socio-culture factors and the areas that involve shared belief and attitude of the population.

Technological Factors: How the new and advance technologies will help in fast growth of the business and what are the new ways to producing, distributing and communicating with the market.

Environmental: In this analysis it is seen whether the product being manufactured is not harming the environment and is the organisation is doing business in ethical and sustainable way.

Legal Factors: These factors include health and safety, equal opportunities, advertising standards, consumer right and laws, product labelling and product safety.

After the PESTEL analysis is made it become easy to do SWOT analysis.
