Branding: Branding is a process through which the distinctive identify of the product is established.
Brand : It refers to a special words, symbol, Letter or the mixture of all this. When we go to the market and demand the product like lux soap, Colin -glass cleaner, Samsung-tv, Britannia-good day-biscuits and liberty-shoes, the name attached with each of the product are nothing but the brands. Brand has two parts- brand name and brand mark. For example Asian paints is a brand name and the symbol of gattu on its pack is brand mark.
Brand Name: It refers to that part of a brand which can be spoken. For example Asian paints, uncle chips, lux soap, etc.
Brand Mark: It refers to that part of a brand which cannot be spoken but can be recognised easily. For example - Gattu of Asian paints, Yog kshma of LIC, etc.

Trade mark: When a brand is registered under a trade mark act,1999, then it becomes the trade mark. The trade mark of a company cannot be used by any other company. To bring the difference between the brand and the trade mark it should be clear that all trade marks are brand but all brands are not trade mark.
