Let's understand what is social entrepreneurship. With the growing financial crisis in the country, we see an increase in the rate of unemployment and poverty. This is where social entrepreneurships come into being. It tries to curb the vulnerability in the need of the hour with their innovations and creative solutions which can cater to the changing market demands and the altered economic scenario.

So, we can now define who are social entrepreneurs.

  • Social entrepreneurs are those group of people whose main motive is not to run after profits but to contribute to the betterment of the society. Their success is measured in terms of the changes they made in the society.
  • Working for a vulnerable society ain't an easy job. So they try their best to overcome the hurdles so that they can be a helping hand to the people in need.
  • They are definitely creative and think out of the box and put others in forth. They understand that every innovation won't be a successful one but they see failures as learning opportunities.
  • They squeeze out the potentialities out of every resources as much as they can. Because why not? They expand their resource pool through collaboration with others.
  • Social entrepreneurs are always aware of the impacts they are making on the public and whether they are of any help or not. They are answerable to the investors who want to know whether their contributions are indeed enhancing social improvements as promised by the social entrepreneurs.
