Industrial sickness is more related to the economical purpose.

According to the sick industrial companies act, the sick industrial company are those which are registered under company act for not less than 7 years and is showing an accumulated loss equal to or less than the net worth of the company, and also have shown a loss in cash flow in that financial only.

If we look at the industry wise sickness details, some industries like that of textile, electrical, iron and steel, engineering and chemical are more prone to industrial sickness.

If we look at the state-wise sick industries number we will find that Maharashtra is having the largest number of non-SSI sick units, followed by West Bengal, then comes Andra Pradesh, then Gujrat, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and then Karnataka in the sequential order.
