How Mercedes Benz in Pune helping to fight during covid-19?

Last week Mercedes-Benz India has decide to come forward and help the nation to fight against this pandemic covid-19.

The company has decided to set up a 1500 bed isolation ward  temporary hospital in Chakan, Pune.

Since the company is having both it's manufacturing and corporate facility at Chakan so the company has come up with this idea with the association of local authorities.

The company officials has said:

In the wake of the ongoing global health crisis caused by the outbreak of COVID-19 pamdemic, Mercedes Benz has decided to set up a temporary hospital with medical facility and isolation ward for COVID-19 patients.

The newly developed medical facility in Mhalunge-Ingale village, Chakan khed, will have isolation ward with a captivity to take care of 1500 patients

The company said it will help the zila Parishad for all the necessary infrastructure including stretchers, PPE kits etc.

The company also said that after this outbreak all the instruments will be denoted to civil hospital and the temporary hospital will be denoted to tribal youth hostels.

On this Wednesday Mercedes Benz INDIA announced that in Pune with help of authorities , will set 1500 beds .Besides, its employees will voluntarily contribute one day's salary, the amount of which will be matched by the company towards contribution to the Maharashtra Chief Minister's Relief Fund for COVID-19 pandemic.

Mercedes-Benz India has both its manufacturing facility and corporate office situated in Chakan industrial belt in Pune. In Chakan they are going to set up this facility.The newly developed medical facility in Mhalunge-Ingale village, Chakan Khed, will have isolation wards with a capacity to take care of 1,500 patients

The facility is in Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority's (MHADA) housing area, which is newly built with 374 rooms."Mercedes-Benz India will also support 1,600 families from Khed and Viman Nagar area (a locality in Pune near the airport). The company will provide them dry ration and cleaning kits."
 

It will assist the Zila Parishad with all the necessary infrastructure including the medical equipment required to create a temporary OPD, infrastructure for stay, stretchers, wheel chairs, PPE kits, sanitisers, among others.
