WRITING A COLD EMAIL THAT GETS REPLIES

Cold outreach requires you to reach out to completely cold prospects - that
usually means that they have had no previous interaction with you and your
solutions. It is quite tricky to get a response, but that's the main goal.

Here are the steps you should take when writing a cold email:

CAPTIVATING SUBJECT LINE:

The subject line is the first interaction your email has with your prospects,
and just like a proper copy headline, it's job is to take them to your second
line - in this case, your intro.

PERSONALIZED INTRO:

The key to actually getting your foot in the door depends on how much rapport
you build with the prospect. You have to research your prospects and write a
line or two that touches their interest. Keep it professional.

DELIVER VALUE:

All your work will be meaningless if there's nothing the prospect gets from you.
Give them an opportunity. Make your prospects see the answer to: "What's In It
For Me?" (WIIFM).

KEEP IT SIMPLY SHORT (KISS):

Long cold emails tend to be ignored. Research says to write between 50 and 125
words for maximum response rate. Others have gotten responses with up to 200
words but that considers multiple factors.

IMAGES AND LINKS:

Avoid images and links in your first email. Your follow-up emails should only
include one of each. Links should be full - not shortened.

SINGLE CLICK-TO-ACTION:

There can only be one CTA in your emails. Putting multiple CTAs will confuse the
prospect and reduce your reply rates. Give them one clear and simple action to
take for each email. If you have multiple CTAs, split them between your follow
up emails.

SIGNATURE:

Your signature is your introduction to yourself (as a side note, don't introduce
yourself at the beginning of your email) and should include your contact
details. Name, email, number, position, and company. Keep it simple and short as
well. Ensure your email addresses for the email and signature match.

Does your email fulfil all? Comments please
