Would you pay $6 for $2? Hint: yes
This is a $2 Canadian bill that was taken out of distribution many years ago.
I think $6 is a fair and reasonable price as you can't find these anynore.
However if the money was invested in stocks or real estate from the 1990s till
now it would be much higher.
Also given the transaction cost of actually selling, responding, and doing the
transaction it would cost you a lot more than $6.
Lesson here is that even when you get it right in your prediction it's the wrong
action.
