The U.S. Army is getting virtual reality headsets from Microsoft.
A new $21.88 billion contract will allow Microsoft to mass produce units for
more than 120,000 soldiers over the next decade. The technology, based on
Microsoft's HoloLens headsets which were intended for the video game and
entertainment industries, will help soldiers map the battlefield and boost their
ability to spot targets and dangers.
