The prime 'IPO candidate' in the Indian Tech ecosystem is Digit Insurance
For a company that commenced business in Sept '17,
FY '21 premiums ('revenue') = $251.64M (to date)
Year-on-Year growth = 31.92%
It closed FY '20 with ~ $330M in premiums (when it was a 2 year old business).
From a valuation perspective, the last private round pegs the company at x3
premiums (very attractive given the foreign comparable Root Insurance at > x5)
Kamesh ji and his team have done a fantastic job - as BimaPe goes through the
IRDAI brokerage licence process, I personally look forward to partnering with
Digit. Their website layout is among the best for Indian carriers.
