What is MDF?

Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) is a type of engineered wood that is made from hardwood fibres that are glued together at high pressures and temperatures of up to 240 degrees Celsius using synthetic resin and wax. MDF has a high and consistent density, making it durable, long-lasting, and sustainable. The density of standard-grade MDF is 680kg/m3 – 730kg/m3, but the moisture-resistant MDF we use is a premium grade with a density of 800kg/m3.

What is Plywood?

Plywood, like MDF, is an engineered wood product created by glueing veneer wood sheets together to form a cohesive solid piece. Plywood can appear to be a basic material, but there are so many varieties of what appears to be a plain wood board that it’s worth doing some research to be sure you’re getting the proper one.

What is Veneer?

A veneer is a thin layer of hardwood applies to a piece of manufactured wood. Door panels, exposed sides, and accessible internal cabinet sections are all good candidates for veneers. While veneers are made of wood, they retain the beauty and grace of the original material.

Which is the best material for Pu Polishing?

  • MDF board is the best material for PU polishing as compare to veneer & plywood.
  • For PU veneer is also a good choice but it is more expensive than MDF.
  • Plywood is not at all preferable for PU polish as it’s an unfinished material than veneer & MDF.

Painting Drive Suggestion for PU Polishing:

Take MDF for PU polishing or any colour polish as it is reasonable also good for maintenance. MDF is water-resistant material & highly recommendation. Since MDF is a tuff material & it mostly uses colour PU & colour wood coatings.
