Marketing absolutely has a role in Product Led Growth. In fact, marketing can
even take the lead in moving a company towards PLG.

Case in point: SalesLoft's new šŸ”„ email grader widget.

It's aimed at a specific end user (the outbound rep) with their exact pain point
(writing outbound emails that actually get a reply). It has a direct link back
to what the product does (better customer engagement). And it's free, making it
super easy for folks to try it out and then share it with their friends.

Fantastic work by šŸ“ˆ Jeremey Donovan and team - I just wish I could get right
into the product after using the widget.

Other examples I'm loving:

šŸ‘‰ Zenefits has free 'product snacks' like their employee guidebook and health
insurance marketplace.

šŸ‘‰ Snyk has a vulnerability database, which helps users identify vulnerabilities
in common open source tools.

šŸ‘‰ Zapier has product-based SEO so they get found in the exact moment someone
needs the tool. (My use case: creating a HubSpot contact based on a Typeform

šŸ‘‰ HubSpot has their famous website grader.
