Investor updates should be seen as a boon not a burden by founders.

As a founder you're the boss - so you lose something. You lose oversight and
accountability. These are valuable tools.

Investor updates are a great way to get that back. They force you to be very
disciplined about key metrics and think about making discernible progress
between each update.

Investor updates of course are not why you do what you do, but done well they
are a great tool to get you where you want to be faster.
