I THOUGHT I KNOW DIGITAL MARKETING, BUT I WAS WRONG
Last Year in July 2019, I quit my job as a Web Designer in a company, I worked
there for few months and I didn't find it satisfying although I was awesome at
what I was doing.
I didn't join any other company but I started taking projects as a freelancer, I
got some, and I liked the way I was doing things but I felt there is a need to
upskill myself in other skills and I enrolled in Digital Marketing Courses and
Started doing things and Implementing it.
I thought to join any Institute but those are way too costly.
As I started and learned things about digital marketing online on Youtube,
Blogs, etc I thought it is about knowing the tactics & how to use the digital
tools available.
I dug more and analyzed what my mentors or people who I look up to are actually
doing.
It struck me late, but it was a BULB ON MOMENT for me.
I thought I was getting good at using tools but I was wrong.
To market products or build a brand on social media platform is not just about
posting content or running ads on the platform.
IT IS MORE ABOUT COPYWRITING SKILLS.
I knew the word copywriting but didn't pay any attention to it thinking it is
similar to content writing and most digital marketers don't talk about it much.
As time passed, I started reading more things about it and practiced it in my
social media posts.
If you are an aspiring Digital Marketer, I recommend you to read about sales,
psychology, persuasion, and last but not least - COPYWRITING.

SO, WHAT THE HECK IS COPYWRITING?
Sales copywriting is anything intended to persuade the right reader, viewer, or
listener to take a specific action.

message? Your content addresses their fears, It speaks to their desires. It used
the words they use. It feels like a conversation with a friend or a trusted
advisor.
