Fuel -The New Highs
1. Price of a litre of petrol is 24.5% of daily earning in India.
2. Central tax revenue till 2019-20 have grown by 128% from 2014-15 to 2.88 lakh
crore. States by only 37%. Fuel consumption grew by 29.4%. Central taxes would
have grown even higher in 2020-21.
3. For fuel efficient motorcycles the monthly consumption went up from Rs748 in
2015 to Rs1126 in 2021 in Delhi assuming a daily tum if 30km, 24 days a month.
