Facebook is standing up against Apple by rallying small businesses together
iOS 14 update is making tracking nearly impossible by asking users to opt in
rather than the traditional opt out method
Facebook is campaigning hard with this, taking out full page newspaper ads on
New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Wall Street Journal
They launched a webpage encouraging small businesses to share their stories and
how this will kill their business
In their words:
“Apple’s latest update threatens the personalized ads that millions of small
businesses rely on to find and reach customers. We’re giving small business
owners a place to speak their mind.”
The war between the tech giants is gonna be an interesting one to watch
While I don’t think Apple will reverse this update, they may give more time for
marketers to prepare (which they already did)
