Do these things in the morning before you start work:

Spend time with your family (or you will lose them).
Read an insightful book/blog.
Walk, mediate, or exercise.
Eat a proper breakfast.
Take a few deep breaths.
Relax.

...then check your email and phone.

How you start your work day matters a lot.
