Christmas and the sales tanked. Can you guess why?
By offering Buy 2 Get 1, the brand incentivised users to visit 3 product pages
and add 3 products to cart before completing a purchase. End result - It
increased the path to conversion and majority users ended up dropping in
between.
When in doubt, use a simple rule of thumb -> The more the number of clicks the
lower the conversion rate. No wonder 'Buy 2 Get 1 Free' isn't commonly seen on
Amazon.
