Founders, going in for that Series A round?

Buffer raised their $3.5M Series A round in 2014 and was very open about their
numbers.

The Term Sheet is (!) 7 years old so the exact numbers are irrelevant...

BUT it can still serve as an excellent example to learn about the structure and
terms, given how hard it can be to find examples like this one online.

If you’re trying to raise capital, you might be wondering what cards everyone
else is holding around the poker table.

Here’s where Buffer was at when they successfully closed their A:
-1.8 million users
-165k active monthly users
-$4.6 million annual recurring revenue
-Had $1 million cash & profitable for the previous 6 months

(Note that given the current economic climate the bar may rise and your KPIs
will most likely have to be better than Buffer's 6 years ago.)
